Not wanting to spend a ton of money, and at the same time, wanting to look professional online, Janis, researched her options and decided on MotherTheme.
"Since MotherTheme is so easy to install and use, it's the perfect solution for someone who needs a blog or magazine website running quickly ... and easily."
Peter Needed Something To Use In His Web Design Projects
The tough thing about web design is getting started. So Peter grabbed MotherTheme to make it easy to begin. Clean styling, a fresh look, and easy to customize.
"MotherTheme is how I begin every design project. It's easy when you have an expert framework to start with!"

The nice boxes I do for MotherTheme are done with CoverAction Pro. It’s a set of cover actions for Photoshop, you design the flat surface, and the action does the rest.
Well CoverAction Pro 2 is coming soon I hope, with a lot more really cool cover actions, and as cool as the first ones are the second group looks amazing.
Anyway, the designer is Mark Monciardini and he apparently is able to do nothing but Photoshop stuff and it’s been good to him. Here’s some stuff he bought from just being a Photoshop guru.
I got Windows 7 installed and I’m using it on my main computer. I know, ‘Ill advised’ … However I recently did a clean install of XP on it and I’m planning on getting a new one in the next several months, so another clean install was no big idea. And I’ll keep everything backed up while I try 7.
So my thoughts are initially … very impressive …
The look and feel are really amazing, and the colors and everything look great. I don’t think it’s too much faster or slower than XP was, I can’t tell a difference.
One cool thing is the post it notes that you can have around, like in the picture above. Small things sometimes make a big difference.
Good news if you were hoping to get your hands on a copy of Windows 7 to test it out. Microsoft is going to keep the download open for another two weeks.
I’m planning on trying it out because I saw a preview and it looks totally cool.
I just installed the Adobe CS3 suite and I’m looking forward to seeing if Windows 7 will make it faster. We’ll see!
John Reese in his last blog post shared some really great wisdom about goal achievement.
I used to get his monthly newsletter which cost about $100/mo and it was worth it, in part because of the knowledge he has and the way he is able to talk about it.
He says that you can get anything done in 24 hours, and by that he means that you can make progress towards your goal in a day. And that the key to getting it done is doing something every day towards your goals. Very worthwhile read.
You are probably thinking I’m nuts for posting my product key for Windows 7. But in fact this key has already been printed on another blog and it appears Windows 7 keys can be used multiple times.
And mind you, I have a key that I’m not going to share, just in case
If you have no interest in Microsoft or Windows 7 or feel burned by past products, then sorry for the intrusion. I’m done talking about it though if I can finally get the download to work I might share my thoughts on how it goes.
To follow along in the saga yourself join the feed at Microsoft’s blog.
Today Microsoft announced they would release a beta version of their windows software that is an upgrade for Vista.
However, it appears that due to server load there has been problems with the release, so says a post on their blog.
If you wanted to try it I found the direct link to the download, it’s here.
Why am I talking about Microsoft and Windows 7? Well apparently it’s a real upgrade over Vista, and you can get it free within a day or two I think. So maybe you want to give it a try …
I’m excited to tell you that I’m getting Adobe Web Premium CS3 today, yes that’s right, I’m one release behind But I’m not ashamed, I got started with CS2 and I can’t wait to try the new package.
Adobe products are the best I know to create awesome graphics and integrate them easily with my websites and themes. When I release the new MotherTheme later this month I’ll be giving you some new looks for MotherTheme also, using my new software
Well first of all, a very Merry Christmas to all! And if you do not celebrate Christmas, then at least I hope you will enjoy the time off that comes with it!
I have a week and a half off from work and I’m planning on a couple projects to improve MotherTheme and add more features.
Add threaded comments to MotherTheme: MotherTheme works with Wp 2.7, but without an upgrade to the code, the threaded comment feature of Wp 2.7 won’t ve there. So I’m working on that …
Add a form feature: I’ve been getting requests to add a form to MotherTheme so users would not have to sign up for a separate service to create a contact form.
Some cleanup of font and colors: OK, 2 reasons for this … one is that I noticed a couple clashing things in MotherTheme that I want to clean up. Another, is that recently my laptop harddrive died. Yes you can tell me all you want that I should always back up … but I didn’t. So I had to recreate some of the graphics of MotherTheme. And while doing this, of course the creative juices start to flow
That’s it for now, again, may you have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year’s in case I don’t write again.
